From Hastings, NE to Festival in Winnipeg

What a fantastic weekend for KnR!! Being back on the road was such a treat, brought back so many memories for us. Keith and I had the pleasure to play in Hastings, NE at The Listening Room on Friday night. The last time we were there was 5 yrs ago! It was really nice to see all our old fans (and new ones!!) They made us feel like a million bucks..... We flew into Lincoln, NE and drove the 2 hrs to Hastings.... I must say, on that drive there was nothing but memorabilia and comments like: 'Hey, we stayed at that Days Inn',
'Omg, this is the highway we almost died on during that crazy winter storm....' and 'That's the place we had lunch at when you had food poisoning....' (oh yeah, good trips!!) on and on triggering our minds.... It was also wonderful to see our dear friend Robin, spending the afternoon with her and catching up. Thanks to everybody at The Listening Room for being supportive- it's got to be the greatest feeling when people are requesting songs from the Simple Stuff and Novice albums and singing all the lyrics..... Just another reminder why we love what we do so much! Needless to say, the weekend left us with little time to sleep since on Saturday night we had a show back in Winnipeg so after Hastings we drove back to Lincoln to arrive at the hotel for 2am and having to get up at 5am to catch our 6:40am flight! Last night in Winnipeg we have the privilege to open for Shane Yellowbird at the Festival du Voyageur with our full band in front of a large captivated audience! Another beautiful night- thank you! We had the chance to perform a number of new songs off our upcoming album and I must say, they sounded pretty sweet with the rocking band behind us! Can't wait for all of you to hear the new tunes. Next album to be released in only a few months... album title yet to be released.... Happy Sunday my dear friends... xo KnR
