KnR back in the Peg
- Mar 07, 2012
Well we are back in Winnipeg after an amazing 10 day tour with Jann Arden. Thank you to everyone who supported us, bought our cd's, took the time to talk to us, feed us, dress us, bath us (jj)- we met SO many cool people on this trip. Thanks to the crew and the band- we love you guys and the food you eat after the concerts! (mmmmm, cupcakes).... So many highlights of the trip: Singing Unloved with Jann every night and hearing the crowd roar, waiting to hear Jann say: 'Renee, stop going through my wardrobe!' when I'd take the stage in my new dress, gourmet catering (beats our Subway BLT runs), Suzy my hair and makeup girl (jj again- I did my own!)- Ok, anyway- the tour was out of this world and we loved every minute of it. Can't wait to do it again..... So for all you new fans in the west: WE ARE COMING BACK TO YOU!!! Oh yeah, you heard right. Look for us in April as KnR head back your way. Touring schedule coming soon...... And don't forget to call your local country radio station and request our song Wildflower which is getting lots of airplay right now. We want everybody to be singing that song by spring. Check out our photo with the lovely Jann and You Tube our performance with her on Unloved in several cities out west. See you soon folks, ciao!! R xx

KnR tour with Jann Arden
- Feb 19, 2012
I'm sitting in my hotel room at Magnolia in Victoria, BC this morning listening to one of my long time favorite songs Unloved by Jann Arden on my Iphone with a huge smile on my face. Well, actually, I'm rehearsing......Not only is this day 1 of our Western Canadian tour supporting Jann on 9 of her dates but Keith and I have been asked to share the stage with her every night for her song Unloved. I have to tell you, this is such a huge honor for me because Jann Arden is one of the reasons why I am a singer songwriter today. She inspired me SO much when I first started out as an artist in so many ways. She is such a talent and one of Canada's legends.......I went to all her concerts when she'd come to Winnipeg; I would cry when she'd perform her most amazing ballads like Good Mother or Hanging by a Thread and I'd laugh my face off in between songs with her comedic humor. Going to her shows was always like a roller coaster ride in a really great way; she took me to so many places at her concerts. I always said I was gonna be just like her when I grew up!! Isn't life so funny and magical? Here I am now preparing to share the stage with her tonight. How unbelievable is that? Keith and I have been covering Unloved for years and now we get to sing it with the one and only for the next 9 nights. I am very grateful for this moment and will definitely be sharing it with you! xoxo R
